Community Guidelines

Rules for safe, useful, and fair communication in lot chats.

Keep the conversation useful

Lot chat exists for authenticated users to discuss the specific lot before and during the auction. Ask clear questions, share relevant observations, and communicate respectfully.

Not allowed
  • Spam, repeated advertising, or unrelated promotion.
  • Harassment, threats, hate, abusive language, or targeted intimidation.
  • Attempts to manipulate bidding, coordinate prices, discourage legitimate bids, or misrepresent a lot.
  • Requests for off-platform payment, phishing, impersonation, or other fraudulent conduct.
  • Addresses, payment details, government identifiers, or another person's private information.
  • Illegal content, malicious links, or content that infringes another person's rights.
Chat is not an amendment

A chat message from a user does not change the listing, condition report, auction rules, delivery terms, or purchase contract. Only an official platform or administrator update to the lot can change those terms.

Reporting and moderation

Use the report control on a message when you believe it violates these rules. Reports are reviewed by authorized staff. Moderators may hide or restore messages, resolve or dismiss reports, restrict accounts, and retain an audit record of decisions. Knowingly submitting false or abusive reports may lead to account restrictions.
